Benefit Calculation Method

This dialog box appears when you select the Benefit Calculation Method button in the Deductions and Benefits page. It allows you to define the method to be used when calculating the deduction.

Benefit Subject To
Use these options to specify the item(s) to which the benefit is subject. Some benefits will affect the employees' statutory deduction calculation.

Tax - The benefit is subject to the income tax deduction.

QTax - The benefit is subject to Quebec Tax.

CPP/QPP - The benefit is subject to CPP and QPP calculations.

E.I. - The benefit is subject to Employment Insurance (E.I.) calculations.

E.I. Hours - Undefined.

WCB - The benefit will be used in the Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) calculations.

Calculated
Use these options to specify the method that will be used to calculate this benefit.

Individually - The benefit will be entered for each individual employee.

By Fixed Amount - A fixed benefit amount will be entered here for all employees.

By Function - The benefit will be calculated by eNETPayroll using the specified function. Note: Items appearing in this list are created via the Functions screen.

Appear On Cheque - Check this box if you require the benefit to print on the pay stub. The default setting is not to print.


OK - Saves your changes and closes the dialog box. You are then returned to the Deductions/Benefits page.

Cancel - Cancels your changes and closes the dialog box.

Help - Opens this help page.
